Nonprofit leaders: Sign up for The Allstate Foundation’s free leadership training
In partnership with Northwestern University, The Allstate Foundation Nonprofit Leadership Center offers free professional training for nonprofit leaders.
Nonprofit work is rewarding, but it’s also challenging. Part of that challenge is building a strong team with the right skills that will help them turn their passion into action.
The Allstate Foundation Nonprofit Leadership Center offers free, high-quality leadership development training designed to accommodate nonprofit leaders’ diverse skills, experience, and leadership aspirations. Developed by the Kellogg School Center for Nonprofit Management at Northwestern University, this training program for highly motivated professionals is offered in online and in-person formats.
The Management Essentials course provides online learning to help emerging leaders understand key management theories and gain new skills. The course includes more than 30 modules covering 10 subjects, including finance, marketing, communications, mission-driven strategy, influence and adaptability.
Participants can select either a self-paced or a guided program:
- Management Essentials On-Demand offers short video segments and exercises on key theories of nonprofit management. You can complete the modules whenever it’s most convenient for you. Access to this program is available at any time.
Management Essentials Online Connection covers all 10 topics through assigned, facilitated online cohorts for valuable group discussions, networking, and mentoring. Registration for the Aug. 22, 2019, cohort must be received by Aug. 9.
The Executive Leadership Program identifies 30 outstanding nonprofit leaders to participate each year, selected through competitive application process. For nonprofit leaders with 10 to 20 years of experience, this classroom training helps participants evolve as leaders through customized coaching and in-person interaction.
The Executive Leadership Program begins in October 2019 and ends in May 2020. The application deadline is July 31, 2019.
